The pink rooster car was my favorite.
We got some excitement when one of the cars flipped over.
After the derby we checked out the rest of the fair.
We saw a pirate parrot show and learned that every time we throw away an aluminum can, we're essentially killing a parrot in the Amazon. Us being the cynical people we are now say as we're throwing away our cans, "There goes another parrot." I know it's bad, but I'm just trying to keep it real here. :)
There were several small parrots that were trained to take money from audience member's hands. The novelty worked on me.
The star of the day was Daisy, the baby pig at the petting zoo. Everyone (including Jason) was saying that we HAVE to get a pig. I don't think so.
She was very cute, though.
I love our county fair because we can see llamas, alpacas and cavies (guinea pigs).
Too cute! The arrival of the county fair always reminds me that summer will soon be over. What fun will we try to cram in before school starts? Only 2 more weeks!
I think a pig would be a great friend to Juan! Think Charlette's web!
ReplyDeleteYes, Juan Carlos would finally have a friend smaller than him!
