Christmas Ships

We're always looking for activities to bring the Christmas spirit. It doesn't seem much like Christmas when there's no snow and everything is still green. It does smell like Christmas trees when we go outside though.
Last weekend we went to Sauvie Island to watch the Christmas ships parade. Thankfully there was a break in the rain long enough to enjoy the parade. This is a fleet of decorated boats that parade on the Columbia and Willamette rivers several evenings in December. It was so unique! Not something you'd see anywhere else. In the second video you'll see the "fire truck" boat.

An homage to Coho salmon.
